Where yesterday confirmed news that 'Game of Thrones' fans would visit the past via flashback in season 5, the HBO drama continues to look to the future as well. 'LOST' and 'Thor: The Dark World' star Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has been added to the fifth season cast in a mysterious new role, but will readers of George R.R. Martin's books recognize the name?

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Akinnuoye-Agbaje will take the role of a character named "Malko," specifically noted not to have appeared in the books. In addition to his recognizable role as Mr. Eko from the second season of 'LOST,' Akinnuoye-Agbaje is also known for the dual role of Algrim / Kurse in Marvel's 'Thor: The Dark World.'

While we wait for ‘Game of Thrones’ season 5, we know of both returning, absent, and a multitude of other new characters cast, including those that confirm we’ll be visiting the oft-mentioned kingdom of Dorne, for which Spain will double. We’ll also meet fewer new characters in season 5 than in prior years, as the next cycle will prove to be something of a midpoint for the series’ run. As expected, the story will draw heavily from George R.R. Martin‘s fourth and fifth novels, ‘A Feast for Crows’ and ‘A Dance with Dragons,' while HBO has also provided a list of directors.

'Game of Thrones' is keeping predictably mum on Akinnuoye-Agbaje's character for now, but what do you think? Who might "Malko" represent to the story when the fifth season premieres in spring 2015?
