Lena Dunham Joins ‘American Horror Story’ Season 7 (Yes, You Read That Correctly)
Well, our days of astonishment with Ryan Murphy’s eclectic casting are certainly coming to a middle. Just hours away from learning American Horror Story Season 7’s title and theme, the creator reveals that Girls alum Lena Dunham will get political with a guest role.
Murphy shared the news over Twitter (his Instagram is currently stuck on bees), albeit without details of Dunham’s role, though The Hollywood Reporter claims she’ll only appear in one episode. The as-yet-untitled seventh American Horror Story marks Dunham’s TV return after the sixth season and series finale of HBO’s Girls.
Elsewhere of Season 7, Carrie Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd has also joined in a mysterious role, along with Allison Pill, Colton Haynes, comedian Billy Eichner and Popular alum Leslie Grossman. In addition to returning stars Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Cheyenne Jackson and Adina Porter, Season 7 might feature the return of several other characters from American Horror Story: Freak Show, while a separate upcoming season was said to bring together Murder House and Coven characters.
Season 7 will reveal itself Thursday, so stay tuned for the latest on American Horror Story.
