Marvel’s forthcoming ‘AKA Jessica Jones’ Netflix series may not have the same comic recognition as its ‘Daredevil’ predecessor, but the female-driven ex-superhero series has some major talent among its cast. Newest to join ‘AKA Jessica Jones’ is ‘The Matrix’ star Carrie-Anne Moss, but who will she portray against our down-and-out super-detective?

The Wrap first broke news of Moss’ casting, specifically that the onetime ‘Memento’ star would play the no-nonsense role of Harper, a “person in a position of authority who could prove a powerful ally to Jessica — if the titular character doesn’t completely alienate her first, that is.” So, a boss, maybe? No comic counterparts that we can see.

Moss joins a cast that thus far includes ‘Breaking Bad’ star Krysten Ritter as the titular superheroine-turned-private-detective, Mike Colter as Luke Cage (subsequently to headline his own series), ‘Doctor Who’ favorite David Tennant as Zebediah Kilgrave, better known as Marvel’s menacing “Purple Man,” and ‘Transformers’ star Rachael Taylor as Patsy “Hellcat” Walker. Creatively, ‘AKA Jessica Jones’ has on its side Melissa Rosenberg as writer and showrunner.

For those unfamiliar with the new series, ‘Jessica Jones’ emerged in ‘Alias’ comics as a superhero suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, leading her to hang up the costume and opening a detective agency, wherein she helps both super and human clients.  Marvel’s 13-episode ‘AKA Jessica Jones’ will hit Netflix at an undisclosed point in 2015, following the April 10 release of ‘Daredevil,’ but what say you? Are you looking forward to Jessica Jones, by the latest casting addition?
