Marvel is big on planning ahead, so their latest news is no surprise. The studio has planted their flag on five release dates for films that haven't yet been announced, but with Comic-Con 2014 coming up next week, we suspect we'll be hearing more about these mysterious new dates.

The studio officially made the announcement this afternoon, plotting release dates that range from 2017 to 2019:

  • July 28, 2017
  • November 3, 2017
  • July 6, 2018
  • November 2, 2018
  • May 3, 2019

Marvel  had previously announced placeholder dates for films that will be released on July 8, 2016 (directly following 'Captain America 3' on May 6, 2016) and May 5, 2017. It's assumed that the July 8, 2016 release date is being held for 'Doctor Strange.' As for the remaining release dates, feel free to speculate away. With 'Iron Man' on the backburner for the time being, we can at least eliminate that possibility for now, but a third 'Avengers' film, along with a new 'Hulk' movie, are likely. And what about a 'Black Widow' movie? Could Scarlett Johansson's hero finally be getting the solo movie she deserves?

Comic-Con is less than a week away, and we look forward to learning -- and sharing -- more about the future of Marvel Studios films. For now, what do you guys think? Which Marvel properties would you like to see fill the spots on that release calendar?
