Netflix’s cycle of pickups can leave us with a bit of whiplash, renewing Daredevil for every Full House revival, but the latest is definitely an upswing. Parks and Recreation creator Mike Schur will reunite with Aziz Ansari and a cast of comedy favorites for a new Netflix comedy.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, the untitled series created by Ansari, Schur and Parks and Rec executive producer Alan Yang is rumored to be loosely based on Ansari’s own life, but Universal Televsion is keeping plot details under wraps for the moment. At the very least, an all-star cast has been set, including Archer lead Jon Benjamin, The Comeback star Lena Waithe, Eric Wareheim of Tim and Eric, SNL castoff Noel Wells, and Bob’s Burgers writer Kelvin Yu.

In addition to Anzari, Yang and Schur, 3 Arts’ Dave Becky and David Miner will also executive produce all 10 episodes of the new half-hour comedy series. The Spectacular Now helmer James Ponsoldt will direct, while production has apparently already gotten underway in New York.

Netflix seems to have no end to its river of original programming, but will Aziz Ansari and Mike Schur’s newest vehicle live up to standards being set by Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, or those left behind by Parks and Recreation?
