With 'American Horror Story: Coven' set to premiere next Wednesday on October 9, you'd think FX could at least wait a few days before forcing up our lunches again. The latest batch of teasers for the Ryan Murphy horror-drama's third year suggest that we might see some even wilder creatures than with 'Asylum,' and, ugh, why do all the latest 'Coven' teasers have to keep putting wild animals in our mouths?

While the first two new 'Coven' teasers of the past week continue with the bizarrely uniform student approach, the latest pick up on that mysterious minotaur creature we've seen displayed throughout a number of ads. Before the end of the season, at least one character better have a horn emerging from down their throat, or at least a snake, or all our lost lunches will have been in vain.

Here's the logline for the 'Coven' premiere, "Bitchcraft," to tide you over:

A young girl, Zoe, is shattered to discover she possesses a strange genetic affliction tracing back to the dark days of Salem. Zoe is whisked away to Miss Robichaux’s Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies, a mysterious school in New Orleans devoted to safeguarding the few remaining descendants who share this unique bloodline. Harboring a secret agenda, Fiona Goode, the most powerful witch of their generation, returns to town, reigniting old rivalries with the Coven’s deadly enemies, the Voodoo.

Along with the official footage and cast portraits that have made their way online, we know that the third season of Ryan Murphy’s breakout horror hit will move back and forth between both present and 1830s New Orleans in a battle between witches and voodoo, details of which have emerged for the first few episodes. ‘American Horror Story: Coven’ will also welcome newcomers Danny Huston, Christine Ebersole, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, Patti LuPone, Leslie Jordan and Gabourey Sidibe, along with returning franchise regulars Jessica Lange, Taissa Farmiga, Frances Conroy, Lily Rabe, Denis O’Hare, Alexandra Breckinridge, Frances Conroy, Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters.

Gird your stomachs once more, and preview the latest 'American Horror Story: Coven' insanity!
