‘Arrested Development’ Season 4 Gets a Stew Going as Carl Weathers Returns
At this point, it would probably be best if Mitch Hurwitz and the folks behind Netflix's 2013 'Arrested Development' reunion simply put up a sign that all the original guest star will make an appearance. We've already heard of Liza Minnelli, Henry Winkler and Scott Baio, even Jeff Garlin, so it's little surprise to lean that the ever-thrifty Carl Weathers will be putting in an appearance as well. But will he have found a new source of fortune, or still have a rather lean stew going?
Stock up on broth, and don't throw away any bones, Carl Weathers is returning to 'Arrested Development'! The one-time 'Rocky' star has been officially confirmed to reprise his role as a notoriously penny-pinching version of himself, when the series returns for a 10(+)-episode reunion special in the spring.
Vulture was the first to report the news, when series star David Cross announced the return following a day of shooting. Weathers is the latest addition to a star-studded reunion season that features appearances from 'Parks and Recreation's' Ben Schwartz, ‘Up All Night’s' Chris Diamantopoulos, all three stars of Comedy Central’s ‘Workaholics,’ Mad Men’s’ John Slattery, Isla Fisher and Terry Crews, as well as returning series players Jeff Garlin, Liza Minnelli, Judy Greer, Henry Winkler and Scott Baio.
What say you? Is the 'Arrested Development' reunion getting crowded, or would the stew not have been complete without Carl Weathers?
