Many expecting the first Jessica Jones trailer to emerge from New York Comic-Con 2015 were in for a bit of disappointment, but we at least learned one major tidbit that could light the way toward our eventual Iron Fist. Just who will Carrie-Anne Moss really play when Marvel’s Jessica Jones hits on November 20?

In introducing the cast at New York Comic-Con, Marvel shared with us the first details of Matrix alum Moss’ Jessica Jones character, previously identified as “Harper.” The panel revealed that Moss will in fact play a gender-swapped iteration of Marvel attorney Jeryn Hogarth, notable as an employee of the Rand corporation, so named for Danny Rand, the alter-ego of Iron Fist.

Also worth noting, the character shares connective tissue with Luke Cage as well, at one time serving as the attorney of “Heroes for Hire,” the joint firm of both Luke Cage and Iron Fist. Hogarth also employed Misty Knight on certain occasions, a character we know to appear in Netflix’s Luke Cage, as portrayed by Simone Missick.

So reads Marvel’s official Jessica Jones synopsis:

After a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City.

We’ll have a more in-depth look at Marvel’s Jessica Jones with a trailer (hopefully) soon, but take in the latest photos and teasers below, and stay tuned for more from the November 20 premiere!
