Just as one crew of offbeat Marvel heroes is coming together, another is only getting started. Hulu has officially placed a 2018 series order for its new Runaways, based on the fan-favorite comics.

Among its May announcements, Hulu confirms that an official 2018 order has been placed for the new winter series, which follows “the story of six diverse teenagers who can barely stand each other but who must unite against a common foe – their parents.” The original Runaways was created by Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona in 2003, chronicling a group of teenagers as they discover their parents belong to an evil crime organization.

In addition to Buffy breakout James Marsters, 24 and Alias alum as their Pride-ful parents, Hulu’s Runaways features Rhenzy Feliz as Alex Wilder, Lyrica Okano as Nico Minoru, Virginia Gardner as Karolina Dean, Ariela Barer as Gert Yorkes, Gregg Sulkin as Chase Stein and Allegra Acosta as Molly Hernandez. Gossip Girl creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage will helm the series overall.

Runaways becomes the latest Marvel drama neither on ABC nor Netflix, so stay tuned for more news of the Hulu series as it comes.
