‘SNL’ 40th Anniversary Special Confirms More Stars Than Possibly Fit in Headline [Updated]

Merciful Zeus, if you thought Eddie Murphy returning to ‘SNL’ after 31 years for the 40th anniversary special on February 15 was big enough, wait until you get a load of the full roster. Rivaling turnout for the Emmys and Oscars combined, the upcoming ‘SNL’ reunion will feature everyone from legendary alumni like Bill Murray, Tina Fey and Chevy Chase, to favorite hosts like Alec Baldwin, and even Taylor Swift, why not!
NBC aired two separate spots during the Super Bowl to promote its reunion special, either of which nearly blew out screens by star power alone. According to the first spot, the three-hour live special will include appearances from five-time host Justin Timberlake, Emma Stone, Derek Jeter, Jimmy Fallon, Sir Paul McCartney, Chevy Chase, Kanye West, Adam Sandler, Melissa McCarthy, Will Ferrell, Robert De Niro, Tina Fey, Paul Simon, Jerry Seinfeld, Molly Shannon, Steve Martin, Mike Myers and yes, Eddie Murphy.
Oh, I’m sorry, did you think we were done? The second spot expanded upon the roster to include Jack Nicholson, Amy Poehler, Jim Carrey, Peyton Manning, Dana Carvey, Kristen Wiig, Dan Aykroyd, Chris Rock, Alec Baldwin, Taylor Swift, Garrett Morris, Andy Samberg, Christopher Walken, Maya Rudolph, Tom Hanks, Martin Short, Betty White, and Gods bless us all, Bill Murray.
