‘True Blood’ Season 5 Promo Will Make You Cry

See?  Now this is the kind of marketing we can get behind.  Where last week saw the release of a brand-spanking new trailer for 'True Blood's fifth season, a few weeks ago saw the release of some rather bizarre promos, including one about "Mistakes Vampires Make".  So while the latest look is light on new footage, it still strikes a much better balance of humor and anticipation.

Don't cry, it's back!  A mere three weeks from the season 5 premiere of 'True Blood on HBO, the network invites you to relive some of the more tear-jerking moments from seasons past.  You might want to pick up some tissues however, as Vampires cry much more messily than ordinary tears.

While those reading should beware spoilers, when last we left ‘True Blood’ at the end of season 4's “And When I Die”, a number of mysteries were still afoot.  Who set loose Russell Edgington from his concrete tomb?  Who’s going to clean Tara’s brains off the wall?  And who sired Steve Newlin?  The trailer answers absolutely none of those questions, but still serves up a laugh or two.

And while they're not present in the trailer, don't forget about all we have to look forward to this season, including Christopher Meloni as a member of the Vampire Authority, what looks to be Sookie and Alcide finally satisfying the shippers, an a little more human drama with Scott Foley leading Terry Bellefleur around the country.
