It’s an open question how Veep will fare without its title character actually employed in any administration, but Season 6 is nonetheless primed for further humiliation in its April debut. See for yourself, as the first full trailer finds Selina Meyer getting re-acquainted with an old friend, sidestepping both figurative and literal landmines.

Ahead of its April 16 premiere, HBO’s Veep debuted its first official Season 6 trailer at SXSW, picking up with Selina Meyer as a private citizen after leaving the offices of President and Vice President behind. Post-Presidential fame is a new one for the Emmy-garnering character, but a ripe one nonetheless.

Following the April 16 premiere, Silicon Valley will premiere in the 10:00 P.M. slot a week later on April 23. Both series will be preceded by the final season of The Leftovers, rather than their usual Game of Thrones companion.
