Our fall lineup of comic TV got a jumpstart with last night's absorbent 'Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.' premiere, but our eyes can't help wandering to the DC side for 'Arrow''s October 8 season 3 premiere. We've seen more than a few photos and trailers of "The Calm" before the big season 3 storm, but take a deep dive into the new season of 'Arrow' with a brand-new featurette exploring DC baddie Ra's al Ghul, new character journeys and more!

As packaged with an iTunes season pass for our beloved DC drama (and helpfully brought to YouTube thereafter), the newest look at 'Arrow' season 3 runs over 5 minutes and sees producer Andrew Kreisberg elaborating on the "identity" theme permeating the season, particularly with regard to Thea's new life as "Thea Merlyn" and Oliver's struggle to balance a real life with his nightly superheroism. Plenty of Olicity action for fans, as well as some new bits of the IT gal's infatuation with Brandon Routh's Ray Palmer (Palmicity? Feliciray?)

Oh, and need we mention Oliver's time off-island, a tease of Deathstroke's return and a few brief snippets of "the biggest, baddest, scariest, most malevolent force that Oliver has come up against," Ra's al Ghul (Matt Nable)? Meanwhile, here’s how The CW describes ‘Arrow’ season 3:

In the aftermath of victory, Season Three opens with Arrow now a hero to the citizens of Starling. Crime is down, people feel safer, and Captain Lance even calls off the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Basking in his success, Oliver believes he can finally have a private life and asks Felicity out on a date. But the second Oliver takes his eye off the ball, a deadly villain reappears in Starling, forcing Oliver to realize that he can never be Oliver Queen – not as long as the city needs The Arrow.

Additionally, 'Real Steel’ star Karl Yune will play Oliver’s flashback Hong Kong handler alongside Rila Fukushima as DC's Katana, having replaced Devon Aoki. Departed series stars Caity Lotz and Colin Donnell will also return for early episodes this season, and we've also got our first full look at Colton Haynes' costume in his new vigilante persona of "Arsenal," in addition to the latest premiere photos from season 3 opener, "The Calm."

Take a look at the latest 'Arrow' season 3 preview above, and tell us in the comments what you want to see from the DC drama's October 8 premiere!
