It’s been a week for DC castings, between Flash-y new additions and new Gotham love interests, and only hours after Arrow Season 4 added itself a Terrific new hero, so too will a new villain make anarchy reign. Bates Motel star Alexander Calvert will face off against the Green Arrow in Season 4, debuting in Star City as DC villain “Anarky.”

ComicBookResources first broke the news, clarifying that Calvert would appear beginning with the second episode as Lonnie Machin, a deranged freelancing criminal willing to do whatever it takes to impress “a potential employer” (cough, Damien Darhk). First introduced in 1989, he character has more commonly been utilized as a Batman antihero.

Thus far of Arrow Season 4, we know the fourth year is expected to somewhat creatively revamp the series after its Season 3 finale saw Oliver retiring the vigilante lifestyle, at least with his current costume. In addition to a focus on DC villains H.I.V.E. and Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), Season 4 will also introduce Mr. Terrific, and may feature flashbacks set in Green Lantern’s hometown of Coast City. Apart from Wendy Mericle’s elevation to co-showrunner alongside Marc Guggenheim, we also know that Punisher: War Zone director Lexi Alexander will helm an episode.

We’ll surely see more of Arrow Season 4 as production gears up in Vancouver, but what Anarky will Alexander Calvert raise in Star City?
