Just before 2015 signed off, Netflix surprised Marvel fans with a first look at Daredevil Season 2, spilling a few photos and details ahead of the presumed spring premiere. Buried amid the reports however, was a suggestion that Season 2 might premiere in March of 2016, rather than the April of last year, so is it too good to be true?

Take this with a grain of salt for the moment, as well as some potential goofing on the media’s part, but it seems that Entertainment Weekly also listed a March premiere for Daredevil Season 2 with its initial photos, a detail seemingly glossed over until now (h/t/ ComicBookResources), screencap below in case of updates:

UPDATE: ComicBook.com claims that Daredevil Season 2 will premiere on March 25, a move deliberately designed to contend with Batman v. Superman’s theatrical release.

Notably, Daredevil Season 1 debuted on April 10, announcing its renewal a mere eleven days later, leaving many to presume Marvel would debut Season 2 in the same window. EW may simply have jumped the gun, but for what it’s worth, we reached out to both Marvel and Netflix for a comment, the former declining an official remark, and the latter keeping silent as of publishing.

Elsewhere of Daredevil Season 2, we know for sure that Rosario Dawson has been confirmed to reprise her role as Claire Temple, along with Scott Glenn’s Stick. In addition to Elodie Yung’s Elektra and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, past Bullseye reports listed Marvel’s Mister Fear and Spider-Man villain Mysterio as potential villains for the season as well, though no confirmations have emerged. Drew Goddard remains aboard as a consultant, though the series has changed showrunners from Steven DeKnight to Marco Rodriguez and Doug Petrie.

We don’t know exactly when Netflix’s Daredevil will return just yet, but watch the first trailer again below, and stay tuned for the latest on new developments!
