FX’s Louie auteur Louis C.K. famously handles most aspects of the Emmy-winning series himself on a minuscule budget, but did you know the comedian even provides his own cameras? Or that it only shoots three days a week, to accommodate custody of his real kids? Reload your morning misery with the 31st episode of ‘You Think You Know TV?’ which hits the Comedy Cellar for ten misanthropic facts of FX’s Louie.

C.K. initially low-balled FX for a budget of $200,000 per season in order to maintain creative control, at first telling executives to simply let him make a pilot, with no interference, or insight into what the show would be. Said creative control also includes C.K.’s disinterest in continuity, as the Louie character’s mother has been portrayed by several actresses, and had varying brothers and sisters (including Amy Poehler), none of whom ever appear in childhood flashbacks.
