‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Photos Confirm the Dead, But No Jon Snow?

There’s only one answer Game of Thrones fans seek from the opening moments of Season 6, but you won’t find it here. Instead, find out which other characters have officially fallen by a full gallery of Season 6 images, and who’s conspicuously absent!

There’s plenty to take in by HBO’s full photo set for Game of Thrones Season 6, albeit not for those hoping dear Myrcella might have survived her poisoning in Season 5 finale “Mother’s Mercy.” Arya and Daenerys both look a bit haggard, while Tyrion and Varys run Mereen, and Theon and Sansa appear to be in good health as well. No sign of Jon Snow just yet, but look! The Greyjoys are back!

Elsewhere of Game of Thrones Season 6, soon to be renewed for Seasons 7 and 8, screen legend Max von Sydow has been cast as the mysterious Three-Eyed Raven to a returning Bran, while Deadwood alum Ian McShane will also appear in a limited, mysterious role, joining Richard E. Grant and The Babadook star Essie Davis as theatre troup players, four notable actors as the Tarly family, Melanie Liburd as a new Red Priestess, and Borgen star Pilou Asbæk as fan-favorite Euron Greyjoy. Apart from a list of directors, Of Monsters and Men will put in a cameo, and story logistics seemingly confirm scenes set at The Wall next year.
