Dany Rides Dragons in ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 Effects Featurette
It wasn’t enough of Game of Thrones Season 7 to set more stuntmen than ever on fire; it’s time to see how they do it. Go behind the scenes of the new season’s pyrotechnic and visual effects, previewing some key battles sequences to come.
In addition to new shots of Dany riding those ever-growing dragons, the latest Inside Game of Thrones featurette catches up with supervisor Sam Conway to lay out some of the technical aspects of Season 7. There’s a whole lot of fire involved, especially from a trailer sequence of Theon amidst of a flaming ship battle, which might spell doom for Dany’s fleet.
Elsewhere of Game of Thrones Season 7, now set for a July 16 premiere, a list of directors and runtimes has been announced along with rumors of some major set pieces and battles and airplane-sized dragons. Harry Potter star Jim Broadbent gave us surprising details of his “significant” role, while several notable returns have likely been revealed, along with unexpected MLB and musical cameos, and one recast.
