Marvel’s ‘Jessica Jones’ Finally Sets November Premiere With First Teaser
For months, we’ve waited on Marvel’s Netflix Jessica Jones to at last announce its 2015 premiere (or at least a real photo) and just one month prior to New York Comic-Con, our second Defender has officially come out of hiding. It’s time the world knew her name, as Jessica Jones sets a November premiere by its first teaser!
There’s more than a few aspects of the new teaser worth examining, beyond the November 20 premiere date for Marvel’s Jessica Jones. For one, we see hints of her superhero past and present, including Alias Investigations, a spilled drink, and some serious super strength on display, while at least some of the imagery calls into mind the same Daredevil aesthetic to Hell’s Kitchen. But purple!
So reads Marvel’s official Jessica Jones synopsis:
After a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City.
In addition to Krysten Ritter in the title role, Marvel’s Jessica Jones also features among its cast Mike Colter as fellow future Defender Luke Cage, Doctor Who favorite David Tennant as the villainous Zebediah Kilgrave, Carrie-Anne Moss as “Harper” and Transformers star Rachael Taylor as Patsy “Hellcat” Walker. Run creatively by Melissa Rosenberg, the series also features in recurring roles Eka Darville as Jessica’s neighbor, Erin Moriarty as a client, and Wil Traval as a police officer, while Rosario Dawson has been confirmed to reprise her role as Claire Temple.
Marvel’s Jessica Jones will likely have a presence at New York Comic-Con as well, but what should we expect from the second of Marvel’s Netflix Defenders? Watch the teaser again above!
