We’ve still a solid three weeks before The Defenders take Manhattan, so bless Netflix for helping those who missed the Comic-Con premiere. A new clip foreshadow’s Elektra’s return as Matt Murdock does what he does best: wallow in Catholic guilt.

Following the prior sneak peek of Sigourney Weaver’s Alexandra meeting with Daredevil and Iron Fist big bad Madame Gao, the latest Defenders clip actually includes one of the title characters. This time around, Matt goes to confession with Father Lantom, wondering if perhaps he’d betrayed Elektra’s memory by hanging up the costumed life. Boy, do we have news for him!

Now set for an August 18 premiere, Marvel’s eight-episode Netflix Defenders will feature among the returning cast Elodie Yung, Jessica Henwick, Scott Glenn, Rosario Dawson, Rachael Taylor, Simone Missick, Deborah Ann Woll, Carrie-Anne Moss, Elden Henson and Eka Darville. Sigourney Weaver will portray the villainous “Alexandra,” while the team-up series will be helmed by Daredevil showrunner Marco Ramirez, and directed in part by Jessica Jones director S.J. Clarkson.

We’ll likely have more looks at The Defenders soon, so watch the first trailers below and stay tuned.
