‘Flash’ Season 4 Casts Hartley Sawyer as DC’s ‘Elongated Man’
We thought perhaps Flash might find its Elongated Man at Comic-Con, but like the hero himself, not all of him is everywhere at once. Nonetheless, Season 4 has its stretchy new hero in actor Hartley Sawyer.
Per TVLine, Sawyer will take the recurring Season 4 role of Ralph Dibny, curiously described as “a fast-talking private investigator with investigative skills that rival those of Batman.” Mind you, Batman isn’t ever likely to appear in the Arrow-verse to make such a comparison, but the effects-heavy Elongated Man nonetheless “uses his superpower to help Team Flash solve one of Central City’s greatest mysteries.”
Elsewhere of The Flash Season 4, we know that The 100 alum Neil Sandilands will play new big bad Clifford “The Thinker” DeVoe, Danny Trejo will play Earth-19 bounty hunter and Gypsy (Jessica Camacho)’s father “Breacher,” and Kim Engelbrecht will play DC engineer “The Mechanic.” Britne Oldford’s Peek-a-Boo will be back for October premiere “The Flash Reborn,” though Season 3 star Tom Felton has stepped down as series regular.
We’ll hear more in the coming weeks, but what other additions might The Flash Season 4 bring?
