We’re only weeks from the finish line of Game of Thrones’ Season 6 premiere, and not even HBO’s lockdown can stop new footage from making its way to anxious fans. The first official clip has arrived, as Davos takes center stage defending Jon Snow’s body, but against what, exactly?

Thrones star Liam Cunningham dropped by Conan with the first official Season 6 clip (at around 1:49 above), making the requisite jokes about HBO snipers ready to take him out for saying too much, but nonetheless with clip in tow. In it, we see more of that closing tag from the first trailer, though one still has to wonder what Davos would protect the body for, if the Night’s Watch mutineers wanted only to burn it, like any other potential Wight.

So reads the Season 6 premiere synopsis for “The Red Woman”:

Jon Snow is dead. Daenerys meets a strong man. Cersei sees her daughter again.

And the overall Season 6 logline:

Following the shocking developments at the conclusion of season five, including Jon Snow’s bloody fate at the hands of Castle Black mutineers, Daenerys’ near-demise at the fighting pits of Meereen, and Cersei’s public humiliation in the streets of King’s Landing, survivors from all parts of Westeros and Essos regroup to press forward, inexorably, towards their uncertain individual fates. Familiar faces will forge new alliances to bolster their strategic chances at survival, while new characters will emerge to challenge the balance of power in the east, west, north and south.

In the meantime, check out the latest on the Game of Thrones Season 6 with trailers below, and stay tuned for the April 24 premiere!
