New ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Trailer Brings Giants, Night’s King
Game of Thrones will no doubt prove pretty judicious when it comes to Season 6 footage after the initial trailer, and the latest trailer stands as proof. There’s no more Jon Snow to stoke the fire, but the latest look at Season 6 interjects a giant or two among plenty of new footage for the April premiere, including that mysterious Night’s King.
Debuting quietly on TV for March Madness, the newest promo offered plenty more to chew on, between a few new shots of Tyrion in Mereen, what looks to be Wun-Wun at Castle Black, Sansa and Brienne in the woods, and a new interaction between Bran and The Night’s King. No sign of Jon Snow, but come on, they wouldn’t spoil the books, would they?
Elsewhere of Game of Thrones Season 6, soon to be renewed for Seasons 7 and 8, screen legend Max von Sydow has been cast as the mysterious Three-Eyed Raven to a returning Bran, while Deadwood alum Ian McShane will also appear in a limited, mysterious role, joining Richard E. Grant and The Babadook star Essie Davis as theatre troup players, four notable actors as the Tarly family, Melanie Liburd as a new Red Priestess, and Borgen star Pilou Asbæk as fan-favorite Euron Greyjoy. Apart from a list of directors, Of Monsters and Men will put in a cameo, and story logistics seemingly confirm scenes set at The Wall.
In the meantime, check out the latest on the Game of Thrones Season 6 with trailers below, and stay tuned for the April 24 premiere!
