‘Iron Fist’ Episode Titles and Director List Revealed
The Defenders pulled a bit of focus in recent weeks, but we still have to meet and establish Iron Fist in March before New York’s street-level heroes can team up. Find out who will introduce us to Danny Rand, as the episode titles and directors for Marvel’s fourth Defender have been revealed.
Britain’s BBFC board let loose with a majority of titles and directors for Iron Fist (h/t BleedingCool), albeit none that spell out any major plot developments. It’s an incomplete list, but see for yourself:
Episode 1, Snow Gives Way directed by John Dahl
Episode 2, Shadow Hawk Takes Flight directed by John Dahl
Episode 3, Rolling Thunder Cannon Punch directed by Tom Shankland
Episode 4, Eight Diagram Dragon Palm directed by unknown
Episode 5, Under Leaf Pluck Lotus- directed by Uta Briesewitz
Episode 6, Immortal Emerges From Cave directed by unknown.
Episode 7, Felling With Tree Routes directed by Farren Blackburn (18 for strong bloody violence)
Episode 8, The Blessing Of Many Fractures – directed by Kevin Tancharoen
Episode 9, The Mistress Of All Agonies directed by Jet Wilkinson
Episode 10, unknown
Episode 11, Lead Horse Back To Stable directed by Deborah Chow (12 for mild violence)
Episode 12, unknown
Episode 13, Dragon Plays With Fire directed by Stephen Surjik
At the very least, we know that John Dahl has directed Jessica Jones in the past, while Tom Shankland helmed a lone episode of Luke Cage. Uta Briesewitz has a history with Orange Is the New Black, while Farren Blackburn directed two episodes of Daredevil. Surjik has the largest Marvel resume, between Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Daredevil, while Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. director Kevin Tancharoen is a telling addition, given his history of martial arts-based episodes.
Now set for a March 2017 premiere, so reads the Iron Fist synopsis:
Returning to New York City after being missing for years, Daniel Rand fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
Elsewhere, following the addition of Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum and David Wenham as Harold Meachum, past breakdowns also suggested Iron Fist would cast the roles of Shang Chi and “Steel Serpent.” Scott Buck will showrun Iron Fist, while reports suggested Jessica Jones writer Scott Reynolds will also have a hand on the creative side.
Iron Fist will reveal more soon, so stay tuned for the latest as it arrives.
