More ‘Iron Fist’ Set Photos Reveal Danny’s Reunion With Joy Meachum

The first photos of Marvel’s Netflix Iron Fist gave us a clearer look at the state of Finn Jones’ Danny Rand, as well a better sense of the production that had Defenders fans worried for years, and now the rest of the cast is going before camera as well. It’s a not-so-friendly reunion, as hippie Danny meets up with Jessica Stroup’s Joy Meachum in the latest photos of Marvel’s Iron Fist.

Again snapped on the streets of NYC, the second round of photos see that haggard-looking Danny Rand confronting Joy Meachum outside what looks to be her apartment, likely still part of Danny’s return from the mystical realm of K’un Lun after so many years. Joy may prove something of a conflicted figure, between her childhood friendship with Danny, hothead brother Ward, and sinister father Harold (David Wenham), who may, or may not have had something to do with Danny’s disappearance.

So reads the Iron Fist synopsis:

Returning to New York City after being missing for years, Daniel Rand fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.

Elsewhere, following the addition of Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, recent breakdowns also suggested Iron Fist likely to begin casting the roles of Shang Chi and “Steel Serpent.” Scott Buck will showrun Iron Fist, while recent reports suggested Jessica Jones writer Scott Reynolds will also have a hand on the creative side.

For the moment, neither Marvel nor Netflix have publicly released a schedule for Iron Fist, The Defenders, or a second season of Jessica Jones, let alone any spinoffs. Stay tuned for the latest as it arrives.
