Read ‘Jessica Jones’ Full Prequel Comic With ‘Daredevil’ Crossover
Yesterday’s NYCC leaks spurred Netflix’s Daredevil to release its Season 2 footage early, while Jessica Jones fans languish in anticipation of an actual trailer, so we have the next best thing. Get to know Marvel’s new Defender in Jessica Jones’ new comic prequel, complete with ol’ Hornhead and a few more bonus cameos.
Initially releasing the free comic over Comixology, Marvel has officially put the comic available to view online, without any download. The issue was put together by Jessica Jones’ creator Brian Michael Bendis, along with Michael Gaydos and David Mack.
In it, we get a taste of our down-and-out superheroine’s current life at Alias Investigations, as Jessica tracks down a hospitalized Turk Barrett (Rob Morgan), bruised and broken from his latest encounter with a fully suited-up Daredevil. Jessica doesn’t actually meet the Man Without Fear herself, but tantalizingly alludes to the possibility of a crossover in the future. Plus, don’t forget a quick peek at Defenders go-between Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson)!
So reads Marvel’s official Jessica Jones synopsis:
After a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City.
Premiering all 13 episodes on November 20, Marvel’s Jessica Jones features Krysten Ritter in the title role, along with Mike Colter as Luke Cage, David Tennant as Zebediah Kilgrave, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth, nd Rachael Taylor as Patsy “Hellcat” Walker. Run creatively by Melissa Rosenberg, the series also features in recurring roles Eka Darville as Jessica’s neighbor, Erin Moriarty as a client, and Wil Traval as a police officer, while Rosario Dawson has been confirmed to reprise her role as Claire Temple.
We’ll have a more in-depth look at Marvel’s Jessica Jones with a trailer (hopefully) soon, but take in the latest photos and teasers below, and stay tuned for more from the November 20 premiere!
