‘Jessica Jones’ Origin Revealed in First Full Season 2 Trailer
Jessica Jones is back, and she brought booze. The hard-drinking heroine of Marvel’s Defenders makes her official 2018 debut with a full trailer for the highly-anticipated second season, along with a few hints of the character’s monstrous origins.
Our first full look at the March 8 premiere (International Women’s Day, no less) offers a stronger insight of the Season 2 story, as Jessica probes the mysterious “IGH” and labs that gave her – and apparently others – powers. We also get our first look at Janet McTeer’s mysterious villain, and what looks to be some familiar clapping hands. Check out the latest poster below:
Elsewhere of Jessica Jones Season 2, Damages and White Queen star Janet McTeer has been confirmed to join the Season 2 cast, along with Arrow alum J.R. Ramirez as Jessica’s new super. The 100 and Twilight alum Leah Gibson has also been cast as Ingrid, who’s described as “street-wise but who also has an education as a nurse,” and may or may not be Daredevil villain Typhoid Mary. We also know that showrunner Melissa Rosenberg has confirmed an all-female director lineup for the next 13 episodes, with True Blood and Supernatural writer Raelle Tucker replacing executive producer Liz Friedman.
In the meantime, all episodes of Jessica Jones Season 1 are on Netflix, so watch the first Season 2 trailer below and stay tuned for the latest.
