New ‘Game of Thrones’ Photos Shed Light on Arya and Bran’s Season 6 Plight
Where yesterday’s Game of Thrones photos seemed almost deliberately to recreate Season 5 looks, a new batch expands on what we’ve seen from Season 6. There’s blind Arya, a seemingly struggling Bran, and another clue into what Daenerys will face from her new/old Dothraki friends.
Entertainment Weekly released another batch of Game of Thrones Season 6 photos, some of which take place behind the scenes, though we do get a closer look at blind Arya struggling to get around in Braavos, while Bran appears to require some Greenseeing help from the Three-Eyed Raven.
As to Dany, EW puts it:
The Breaker of Chains, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), is once again in bondage herself after she’s captured by a Dothraki clan. Daenerys discovers that the nomadic tribe has certain rules for the former wives of fallen clan leaders.
Elsewhere of Game of Thrones Season 6, soon to be renewed for Seasons 7 and 8, screen legend Max von Sydow has been cast as the mysterious Three-Eyed Raven to a returning Bran, while Deadwood alum Ian McShane will also appear in a limited, mysterious role, joining Richard E. Grant and The Babadook star Essie Davis as theatre troup players, four notable actors as the Tarly family, Melanie Liburd as a new Red Priestess, and Borgen star Pilou Asbæk as fan-favorite Euron Greyjoy. Apart from a list of directors, Of Monsters and Men will put in a cameo, and story logistics seemingly confirm scenes set at The Wall.
In the meantime, check out the latest on the Game of Thrones Season 6 with trailers below, and stay tuned for the April 24 premiere!
