New 'Orange is the New Black' Season 3 Trailer and Photos

Broadcast TV might dominate the conversation over the next week, but Netflix has your attention under lock and key after all. The complicated ladies of Litchfield have a shiny new Season 3 trailer for Orange is the New Black, along with some surprising new photos showing off the guest cast, and a … Day of the Dead … episode?

Everyone seems eerily optimistic by the latest look at Orange is the New Black‘s June 12 premiere, but as Crazy Eyes puts it, “Once you know Santa Claus isn’t real, it’s all downhill from that.” The new photos also show off a closer look at model Ruby Rose in an undisclosed role dividing Piper and Alex, while Boo and Pennsatucky have an oddly makeup-filled Day of the Dead celebration. Sure, why not?

Already renewed for Season 4, we know of Season 3 that Justified star Mary Steenburgen will appear as Mendez’s mother, alongside fellow additions Ruby Rose, Mike Birbiglia, Fringe star Blair Brown and returning Lori Petty. Yael Stone (Morello) has been upgraded to series regular, joining Dascha Polenko (Daya), Samira Wiley (Poussey), Selenis Leyva (Gloria), Nick Sandow (Joe Caputo) and Adrienne C. Moore (Black Cindy). Laura Prepon too will return full-time, appearing in every Season 3 episode, as seen in the first trailer.
