‘Iron Fist’ Becomes a Living Weapon in New York Comic-Con Trailer
Marvel’s Netflix Iron Fist may only have finished shooting this morning, but Finn Jones’ final Defender was more than ready for New York Comic-Con. See for yourself, as Marvel’s living weapon glows in a new trailer, and find out details of four new clips shown in the panel!
In addition to the flurry of announcements and appearances from NYCC, Iron Fist dropped an official trailer to follow the early footage from San Diego Comic-Con. Not only does the new footage give us a first look at Danny Rand’s glowing hand, but we also saw a Daredevil connection in Madame Gao’s appearance (maybe to explain that Steel Serpent heroin finally, eh?)
The panel also showed several clips from the series, the first of which saw barefoot Danny Rand attempting to seek out Harold Meachum at his family’s building, and ending up in an impressive tussle with security over it. We also saw Finn Jones name-dropping Jeri Hogarth to Joy and Ward Meachum, along with a scene of Colleen Wing dominating a cage match against two men, and Harold Meachum menacing Danny in an institution.
Now set for a March 2017 premiere, so reads the Iron Fist synopsis:
Returning to New York City after being missing for years, Daniel Rand fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
Elsewhere, following the addition of Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum and David Wenham as Harold Meachum, past breakdowns also suggested Iron Fist would cast the roles of Shang Chi and “Steel Serpent.” Scott Buck will showrun Iron Fist, while reports suggested Jessica Jones writer Scott Reynolds will also have a hand on the creative side.
Iron Fist will still reveal more soon, so stay tuned for the latest as it arrives.
